Guardian Martial Arts proudly teaches the art of American Kenpo designed by Ed Parker, the "Father of American Karate". Like most Martial Arts schools GMA adheres to many traditional customs, however, we believe the school should be a pleasure to attend, for the whole family, as well as the Martial Artist. Discipline is important to us, but a friendly atmosphere is just as crucial.
At Guardian Martial Arts the commitment to our students, and our community doesn't end at the door. Guardian holds many events throughout the year for students and their families to enjoy, as well as performing demonstrations, and services for our community.

Owner: Kelly M. Perkins
Owner of Guardian Martial Arts, Mrs. Perkins began her martial arts training in 1986, where she earned the rank of Third Dan in Tae Kwon Do. She went on to earn her Fourth Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo, and later her Second Degree in George Dillman's Kyusho Jitsu (Pressure Point Fighting). Mrs. Perkins is also an Internationally Certified STOTT PILATES Instructor, Personal Trainer and a Group Fitness Leader.
Co-owner: Shelby R. Perkins
Mr. Perkins is co-owner of Guardian Martial Arts and is a Fourth Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo. He has also earned a Second Degree in Kyusho Jitsu through Steve Stewart and George Dillman. Mr. Perkins is an NRA Certified Pistol License Instructor.
Head Instructor: Chris Fernitz
Mr. Fernitz began training in American Kenpo in 1998. He holds a rank of Third Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo, and Second Degree in Kyusho Jitsu.
Office Manager: Cheryl Bunting
Mrs. Bunting provides invaluable support in her role as Office Manager at GMA.
