OPEN HOUSE & BUDDY WEEK Come one, come all, it’s Open House and Buddy Week at Guardian Martial Arts February 6th - February 9th. All classes are free that week!
Mom’s and Dads, this is YOUR chance to come out on the floor and try the exciting classes here at GMA! From Kenpo to Kickboxing, classes are complimentary! Bring your Buddy and introduce them to the awesome art of American Kenpo.
In addition, your friends will learn valuable Black Belt life skills. You know the ones: honesty, humility, courtesy, self-control, integrity, perseverance and indomitable spirit! These valuable skills benefit children and ADULTS! Bring a guest and student and guest will receive a special gift.
If your guest joins, student and guest will be special guests at a movie and pizza party just for them! Special invitations for guests will be given to students toward the end of January. This is going to be fun!
Giving back for the holidays
Every year, GMA has participated in food drives and “adopt a family” at Thanksgiving and Christmas time. This year, the studio is going with something old and something new. For Thanksgiving, GMA will host a canned food drive to benefit the pantry of the Michigan Veterans Foundation. The MVF serves our local veterans with food, shelter and re-education to help those vets having a hard time returning to mainstream life.
Our food drive this year will run from Tuesday, November 1, 2011 and end Wednesday, November 16, 2011. GMA’s new community service drive will be to gather items for the Warm Hearts Foundation. The Warm Hearts Foundation sponsors baby showers for mom’s who are in need. Warm Hearts also helps the Salvation Army by providing a Christmas gift for children. Warm Hearts can use any and all gently used baby and children’ items.
These items can include blankets, books, baby swings, clothes, toys, diapers, wipes and anything you can think a baby or child may use. GMA will help out with Christmas this year by providing as much of the above mentioned items at we can! Warm Hearts specifically fills Christmas gifts with a stuffed animal.
The collection for Warm Hearts Foundation will begin Thursday, December 1, 2011 and run through Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Please note that the drives are somewhat short to enable the providers to prepare donations for giving. Thank you for your generosity!
